Dylan Harper on his, his brother Ron Jr. rise with Spurs, Boston Celtics
· Yahoo Sports
As his younger brother Dylan has been having an end to his rookie season with the San Antonio Spurs for the ages, Boston Celtics backup guard Ron Harper Jr. has been cheering on his brother and his team in their battle with the New York Knicks in the 2026 NBA Finals.

But the support has not been one-sided even with the elder Harper brother and his Celtics out of the postseason since the first round of the 2026 NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs. Speaking at a press conference ahead of Game 3 of the series, Dylan had plenty of love for what his older brother has been doing in the league of late as well while commenting on his own meteoric rise. "He started off with the G (League), and now he's got a guaranteed contract, so for me, to watch him ... grow as a player was special," said Dylan.
"Obviously, I think I've known the type of player he's been for a while – and now to see the whole world is (seeing that also), I wouldn't expect anything else."
"But for me, I think finding my footing was easy with the type of team we have," said the San Antonio rookie, switching gears to his own path. "Whole lot of people, whole lot of vets that help me around."
"And they told me I'm going to make mistakes, but it's how you respond and how you bounce back from those mistakes. But for us to both have the year we had, I think it's a big plus for us."
